BARCELONA, Spain--Though it didn't unveil any new U.S. phones at MWC 2013, Kyocera did display two of its waterproof Japanese phones that are both waterproof and come in several colors. Pictured here is the Digna S, an LTE-enabled handset with a 4.7-inch screen that launched in October 2012.

In addition to its 8-megapixel camera, the Digno S comes with a special charging dock, as indicated by the five gold circles on the right. The battery charger can power up the handset up to 60 percent in a half an hour.

The device also feature's Kyocera's smart sonic technology, which uses a ceramic transducer to transmit sound through ear tissue. As a result, audio quality is boosted and the need for an in-ear speaker is eliminated.

The Kyocera Digno S comes in three colors (pink, black, and white). Additional features include a 2,520mAh battery, an expandable microSD card slot that can hold up to 64GB, Android 4.0, and a 1.5GHz dual-core processor.

The Honey Bee Softbank 101K (not the catchiest name, I know), is an entry-level smartphone that comes in several bright colors and packs a 3.5-inch screen.

The Honey Bee is a waterproof handset, primarily popular with young teenage women, according to a Kyocera representative. Above its display, which has a 480x800-pixel resolution, is a 2-megapixel camera.

On the back of the handset is a 5-megapixel camera with flash and the audio speaker.
