Curious about VR?

Motion sickness

It was amazing

You could get lost

Like dreams

Really cool to be in another environment

It was mind opening

I cannot wait to see what happens

Oh wow.

Somewhere totally new

You are the player

Oh my god!

It's really cool

A lot of fun

I was in a spaceship

This is amazing

Really immersive

It's like being somewhere

I think it's fantastic

I've never seen anything like this

The content has come a long way

On Wednesday, CNET opened its doors to hundreds of early adopters curious to experience virtual reality. We made the Oculus Rift, Samsung Gear VR and HTC Vive available for demos. So, what did they think?

Click on to find out. We'll just say we loved seeing all the amazed looks.

"It was fun. Actually really interesting to see the 360 views. Everytime I wanted to reload I kept shooting. For short periods of time I could use it. I'm worried about motion sickness. But for short periods of time it was a great experience." - Richard

"I love it. I think the potential for content is really cool. I imagine the Travel Channel on VR, or House Beautiful home porn tours -- more of a lifestyle experience, I guess.

I've tried VR over the past couple of years, and I have to say it feels a lot better now. I did a roller coaster ride at the Samsung Galaxy Studio a few of weeks ago, and it was the first time I'd had that body experience where you had the feeling of your stomach dropping. It was amazing. I could see an amusement park setting up shop. I'd pay money for that.

I feel like the adoption is still really challenging. That's a big piece. It's expensive. It doesn't feel like it's needed. And if I'm watching TV, I'm usually watching it with someone else." - Liina

"It's pretty cool. I'm fixing a car right now. It's pretty immersive. There's instant feedback. You could get lost in that -- like for hours." - Colin

"Like dreams, virtual reality blends visual immersion and auditory cues. The result is a blur of details, some vivid, some less so." - David

"It was a really neat experience. What can I say, it is really cool to be in another environment." - Allison

"It was mind opening. Eye opening. I came here a bit of a skeptic. But I am walking away very impressed. I can't wait to see what is next." - Kwamiga

"OMG that was fantastic...It took me a moment. I came here to actually feel it. Just feeling the immersion and the closeness of the character. Translating that into education and health care is exciting. I cannot wait to see what happens." - Nicole

"This is really weird. You lose yourself completely. You look around and you are there. And then when I took the headphones off and I hear someone talking, it is strange -- it throws you off. You are immersed in this world and then I take it off and 'Oh wow.' Here I am back in the real world. Here I am at CNET!" - Yves

"The depth of the place is incredible. It's like I've gone somewhere totally new, and I'm exploring and interacting in this world like it's a real place, even though I know it's not." - Lauren

"It's really cool. It's like a video game, but you are inside it. Instead of controlling it, you are the player." - Joshua

"Oh my god! I feel like I am going to puke on you! It's really high stress. There is a lot more going on, you can see debris flying around and you want to move with it." - Tracy

"It's really cool. I'm trying to build some sort of car to transport a bubble to the other side. I can definitely see doing this at home. I'm not sure if I'd ever go outside again." - Bryce

"It was really cool being in the environment. I was shooting out missiles. It was a lot of fun." - Joy

"It's really immersive. Much more immersive than I expected. It sort of tricks the mind, making you think you are somewhere you are not." - DP

"It's pretty cool. It's like being somewhere. It's pretty immersive. But some things take you out of it, like the refresh rate or flickering on surfaces. In a game it's a better experience because you are paying attention to the details of the gameplay." - Clifford.

"I think it's fantastic. I have used the Oculus Rift Development Kit 2 [DK2] before. The tracking is fantastic. It feels 1 to 1. Resolution improvement over DK2 is not as good as I expected. The hand movement and responsiveness is great." - Arsalan

"It's pretty good. I don't want to stop. I want to keep going. I've never seen anything like this." - Xiufeng

"I feel like the content has come a long way since I first tried it a year or so ago. The Invasion clip was cool. I watched the sports stuff, and it doesn't feels that exciting to watch the sports to me. The Martian clip didn't look as realistic as it should have. The animation stuff is cool because you know it's not real. It was convincing. I loved 'The Jungle Book.'" - June
