BARCELONA -- Here at MWC Alcatel took the wraps off this 6-inch phablet, the Hero 2+, which is coming to the US and Canada. It was unveiled alongside the the reversible OneTouch Idol 3.

The Hero 2+ packs a 2GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage and a microSD card slot.  The 6-inch display sports a full-HD (1,920x1,080-pixel) resolution and the phone runs Cyanogen OS.

It'll cost $299 (which converts to around £195, AU$380) when it goes on sale sometime in April or May.
