LAS VEGAS -- Making an appearance at CES is the Panono, a throwable, ball-shaped device built with 36 integrated lenses.
In this close-up, you can see the individual 2-megapixel cameras.
The Panono is small enough to fit in your hands.
When you toss the Panono in the air, the lenses fire simultaneously, just at the moment that the ball reaches its apex.
The result is a 360x360-degree image, like this one taken high above Hong Kong.
Though you can certainly throw the Panono, you also could fly it around on a drone.
