Drones

Yuneec Breeze is a selfie drone for the masses

Put away your remote control, this flying camera is made for anyone to get the perfect shot.

With the Breeze, electric aviation company Yuneec makes the move from professional and hobbyist camera drones into phone accessories.

Available now, the $500 quadcopter (approximately AU$660 or £380) is completely controlled with the Breeze Cam mobile app for iOS and Android. The app gives you a handful of flight modes -- Selfie, Follow Me, Orbit, Journey and Pilot -- and can be flown indoors or outside, presumably aided with GPS and optical sensors. And it has the nearly obligatory Return to Home safety feature in case it gets away from you.

Once you capture what you want with the Ultra HD-resolution camera in front, you can download photos and video straight to your phone to share online. The quad looks relatively compact, too, and the props fold together, so you should be able to jam it in a backpack to hit your next bonfire, music festival or trip to the skatepark.

You can find more details on Yuneec's site.
