I've somehow become the go-to guy for Crave's Friday Polls, but I just couldn't wait until the end of the week to get the opinions of you, the readers, on a topic that's hot right now. Consumers are e-mailing Steve Jobs (you can too, right here!), and he's actually .
The Apple CEO, of course, isn't answering all customer e-mails himself, as there are sure to be far too many. But for a while now, he'sto e-mails sent by customers to his private e-mail address. Sometimes the replies are curt, sometimes more thoughtful, and sometimes .
As far as we know, Jobs' personal replies are unique for a CEO of a huge company, but Jobs himself is nothing if not unique. But is this approach a good idea? Apple has a whole staff of PR personnel, and in most cases, a CEO's response would be to use a company's PR team as a filter. Why isn't he using them?
We're not sure. But we have opinions. And we're sure you do, too. What do you think of Jobs' personal approach? And should more tech CEOs be talking talking straight to their customers? Vote in our poll and be sure to share your additional thoughts in the comments section.
