YellowBrix appoints new CEO, cuts staff

YellowBrix, a provider of customized content for Web sites, says it has appointed its chief financial officer as chief executive. The Alexandria, Va.-based company said S. Randy Lampert replaced David Hoppman, who resigned from this position as YellowBrix's CEO and chairman of the board to pursue other business opportunities. Richard Boden will fill the CFO position. The announcement comes as the company restructures its business. YellowBrix spokeswoman Rica Guarnieri confirmed that the company has laid off some of its employees. She did not disclose the number, saying that it would be difficult to count because other employees have resigned. YellowBrix also announced that it has appointed Jeff Massa, a co-founder of the company and chief technology officer, to the post of chief operating officer.
