Yahoo Germany CEO leaves

Yahoo Germany chief Peter Wurtenberger is leaving the company to head a joint venture between Bild newspaper and Internet service provider T-Online. Wurtenberger, who joined Yahoo Germany in 1998, will be temporarily replaced by the managing director of Yahoo Denmark, Lars Toft, until a successor is named, according to a Yahoo representative. His last day is May 15. The departure follows several others within Yahoo's overseas units over recent months. Yahoo's Asian operations chief, Savio Chow, and European head Fabiola Arredondo have left the company since January. Yahoo's general manager of Singapore operations has also quit. In the United States, Yahoo Chief Executive Tim Koogle in March announced he would step aside but remain chairman.
