Xbox climbs in game sales rankings

Microsoft's Xbox video game console rose in the latest rankings of U.S. video game software sales, accounting for six titles in researcher NPDFunworld's ranking of the Top 20 titles for early March. Sony's PlayStation 2 led with eight titles for the survey period, March 3 through March 16, while Nintendo's GameCube accounted for three. The top-selling title was the controversial PS2 game "Grand Theft Auto III," published by Take Two Interactive, which has two other Top 1O titles with "State of Emergency" and "Max Payne," at No. 7 and No. 8, respectively.
