Windows 10 lands July 29 with Start Menu, Cortana, security perks

Windows users can download a free upgrade to Windows 10 in two months. Meanwhile, Google simplifies privacy controls, and Asus shows off a new smartwatch.

In two months, Microsoft will return the Start Menu to the world.

Windows 10 is arriving for download on July 29 -- and it's a free download for Windows 7 and Windows 8 users. (But if you're on Windows 7, you have one year to claim your free download. After July of 2016, Windows 7 users have to pay.)
