Watch a fool throw an iPhone 7 off the tallest building in the world

YouTube user TechRax's latest torture test takes him to the top of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.

Remember YouTube user TechRax, who posted a parody tutorial on how to drill a headphone jack into the iPhone 7?

The video has racked up over 13 million views since it posted on September 17, which is great for TechRax because he's going to need that pile of revenue share money to continue posting more absurd Apple torture videos.

So far he's bathed an iPhone in hot melted crayons and crushed an Apple Watch with magnets, but his latest stunt takes him to the top of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the tallest building in the world at 2,722 feet (829 meters).

He brings an iPhone 7 Plus up to the observation deck on the 148th floor and after a quick show-and-tell to prove it's real, he tosses it out of a narrow gap in the glass panel and films the phone sailing down to oblivion.

There's no way to tell what happened to the phone after. TechRax tracked its location and found it went offline immediately, so it likely exploded on impact.

"This thing is fried," TechRax says in the video. "It's completely destroyed. The impact hit it to the point where I can't even track it."

It's been proven that tossing a penny off a super tall building won't actually turn it into a lethal weapon (thanks to terminal velocity), but a heavier object like a smartphone could absolutely inflict serious bodily damage, so I hope the video is fake.

Judging from the quick cuts in the segment, I'd like to think it is, for the safety of everyone in the vicinity.

What do you think? Let us know in the comments, and duh: please don't try this yourself. And if you're taking in the sights at the top of the Burj Khalifa, hold onto your phone tightly while taking a selfie.
