Zombies beware! Rick Grimes is mad, bad and dangerous to know in this brand-new trailer for the next season of "The Walking Dead," which premieres on AMC in the US on Sunday, October 11. (Fans in the UK and Australia, check your local AMC websites for the time and date of the episode.)

The new Season 6 trailer for "The Walking Dead" shows our fearless hero Rick telling the rest of the gang that they need to keep the homestead safe if they want to survive.

"I don't take chances anymore," Grimes says in the trailer.

Of course, as usual just because Rick wants to remain the kind of leader that people respect and trust doesn't mean he has the support of everyone else who's fighting to live another day. Sometimes the humans are more dangerous than the monsters chasing them.

AMC also announced at San Diego Comic-Con International July 10 that there will be a "Talking Dead Season 6 Preview Special" hosted by Chris Hardwick, which premieres August 23 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT. The special will feature interviews with the cast and crew, as well as behind-the-scenes footage from the new season.
