Visionael plans to announce on Monday that it has raised a $16.8 million third round of funding. The Palo Alto, Calif.-based company attracted investments from Banc One Venture Partners, Charter Ventures, Mingly Capital, and previous investors Capital Communications, GE Capital and VantagePoint Venture Partners. Visionael has raised a total of $37.6 million. The company designs software that allows companies to manage their networks by providing detailed information on their servers, routers, switches and ports. The software is designed to help Visionael's customers assess what additional network equipment is needed under various circumstances.
