Virtus unveils Macintosh VRML browser

Virtus Corporation debuted a virtual reality modeling language (VRML) browser for the Mac that allows users to view 3D Web pages.

    SAN FRANCISCO--Virtus Corporation is demonstrating at Macworld its virtual reality modeling language browser (VRML) that allows Macintosh users to view 3D Web pages. Virtus Voyager is currently available for download.

    The program can be configured to act as a helper application or can stand alone, according to Virtus officials.

    Future plans include plug-in support for HTML browsers that accept plug-ins.
