AirBand Communications announced Tuesday it raised a $10 million second round of funding, led by previous investors Sevin Rosen Funds and Crescendo Ventures. Dallas, Texas-based AirBand has raised a total of $57 million. The company provides wireless broadband services.
Security software provider Authentica announced Monday it raised $4 million in a second round of funding led by 3i US. Previous investors Greylock, Intel 64 Fund, North Bridge Venture Partners, Norwest Venture Partners and Venrock also contributed to this round. Waltham, Mass.-based Authentica has raised a total of $30 million.
Wireless hardware maker Littlefeet announced Wednesday it has raised an additional $3 million in its third round of funding. The latest contribution by previous investor ComVentures brings the total for the third round to $25 million. The San Diego, Calif.-based company has raised a total of $62 million. url> has developed a network antenna that lets wireless carriers extend or enhance the coverage of their networks.
eMotion announced Tuesday it raised $2.5 million toward its third round of funding. Investors include Wasserstein & Co., Constellation Ventures, Chartwell Capital and Crossbow Ventures. The Vienna, Va.-based company hopes to eventually raise $5 million in its third round and has secured $40 million in funding to date. eMotion develops software designed to handle tasks such as managing, archiving and copyrighting digital video, audio, photos and graphics online.
