As the first UFC women's bantamweight champion, Ronda Rousey knows what it takes to intimidate an opponent and win round after round in a fight. So battling against the usual Hollywood casting cliches should be easy for the charismatic champ.
After Rousey revealed in her recent Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) that she wanted to play the iconic comic book character Captain Marvel on-screen, her talented fans started making art of the undefeated UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) champ suited up in the superhero's costume.
Rousey posted some of her favorite fan art pieces on her Instagram account.
"Since the Reddit AMA I've received so many badass Ms. Marvel/Captain Marvel edits!" Rousey wrote. "There were so many cool ones I couldn't pick just one to share."
While Rousey has yet to play a superhero, she's already shown off her acting chops in the movies "The Expendables 3," "Fast & Furious 7" and "Entourage," and in the new film "Mile 22." She will also play herself in an upcoming biopic based on her autobiography "My Fight/Your Fight."
After all, when you can beat down opponents in real life using one-two punches and impressive kicks, it makes perfect sense to transition from the fighting ring to the big screen.
