Tripwire expands to Compaq's Unix

Security software maker Tripwire will announce on Monday a version of its tamper-detection product for Compaq Computer's Tru64 version of Unix, the company said. A 30-day evaluation copy began shipping with the servers on Nov. 21. Sun Microsystems has invested $5 million in Tripwire, whose open-source software can detect changes made to critical files on servers, databases and other products.
