Kotaku is reporting that a new update to the Xbox 360 just added six new games to the system's backward-compatibility list. The titles are all Tom Clancy franchise games by Ubisoft and include Splinter Cell, Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, Ghost Recon 2, Ghost Recon 2: Summit Strike, and Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow. This is great news for Tom Clancy fans or any gamer who enjoys shooting terrorists. Xbox 360 owners will be prompted to download the applicable software update via Xbox Live once they insert any of the supported titles. Compatibility requires an Xbox 360 with a hard drive attached, but the download is free.
