If you've always dreamed of getting onboard a giant robot and have $1.3 million to spare, you may want to take a look at the. Of course, if you're famous Japanese voice actor Toru Furuya, then you get to ride one for free.
Furuya, who played Gundam fan favorite Amuro Ray in the Mobile Suit Gundam anime, hopped into the cockpit of a Kuratas mech that had been painted with Windows logos. He then said a few words in the voice of Amuro Ray, to the delight of the attendees.
The seiyuu, as voice actors are known in Japan, was invited as a guest at Microsoft's Windows Spring Festival 2014 that was just held in the Akihabara ward located in Tokyo, Japan. The event was meant to promote the recent Windows 8.1 update to Japanese users.
Sadly, there's no word on whether Microsoft went all the way and installed its Windows OS on the robot, but given that the pilot UI uses a Kinect based device, it's a possibility.
