Should we be worried? Also: More exploding Samsung things, and Tinder gets a boost.

Super Friends Wikia

Google, Amazon, Facebook, Microsoft and IBM are coming together to make robots brainier.

The companies' new nonprofit, named the Partnership on Artificial Intelligence to Benefit People and Society, points to how big AI has become to these tech heavyweights as they work to add more smarts to their gadgets and software. The 3:59 gives you bite-size news and analysis about the top stories of the day, brought to you by the CNET News team in New York and producer Bryan VanGelder.
