TechProbe: Get your hands on the Huawei Mate 7

We're looking for volunteers to do some hands on testing of Huawei's latest big-screen smartphone, the six-inch Mate 7.

If you like big phones then Huawei has you covered with the Mate 7. The 6-inch Full HD screen sits on top of an octacore processor of Huawei's own design. The 4,100mAh battery promises 2 full days of use, but the Mate 7 is still just 7.9mm thick and only 185g. And did we mention the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner? No? Well we should have.

Here's what we thought of the Mate 7 from Huawei. But now, we're kicking off a new TechProbe and we're after volunteers who can put the Mate 7 through its paces and give us their take on the big-screen behemoth.

If you think you're up to the task, email techprobe@cbsinteractive.com and tell us a few details about yourself. We want to know:

  • What phone you're using now
  • A little bit about your profession
  • Why you're interested in trying out a large-screen phone
  • What city and suburb you're in, and;
  • Links to your Twitter, Instagram or any other social media you like to use

We're after people who can express their opinions about the Mate 7 not only in writing, but also on video, so we need people who are comfortable and confident in front of the camera.

If this all sounds like you, you've got until 9 a.m. on November 24 to contact us at the above address for chance to review and keep the Huawei Mate 7.
