Coffee Makers

This is the Star Wars R2-D2 coffee maker you've been looking for

To make great coffee you need filtered water and fresh beans. To make coffee look great, you need ThinkGeek's Star Wars R2-D2 Coffee Press.

How do you take your coffee? Black? Or with a bit of The Force?

For a lot of us, a good morning starts off with a cup of coffee. But if I could start my day off with coffee and Star Wars, I'd be a very happy Patrick. Enter ThinkGeek with the Star Wars R2-D2 Coffee Press: a 4-cup (32-ounce) coffee press built into the body of everyone's favorite droid, R2-D2.

Who would think to make a coffee press out of R2-D2's body? It has the same cleverness of making a sleeping bag in the shape of a Tauntaun. And this is a far superior attempt at bringing coffee lovers and Star Wars merchandise together than Nestlé's sticker-on-the-side-of-a-coffee-machine.

The coffee press is all manual -- meaning you pour hot water over coffee grounds and use the top of R2-D2's head as the plunger handle. And the price of this caffeine/droid mash-up? A very reasonable $39.99 in the US (roughly converting £30 in the UK and AU$50 in Australia).

The Star Wars R2-D2 Coffee Press is available in November, but you can pre-order now on ThinkGeek's website. Now only if someone would make a cup holder for my X-34 landspeeder!

Hopefully, ThinkGeek is working on a companion C-3PO half-and-half carafe.
