Star Wars fans, recognize anyone in this unused Stormtrooper concept art?

Those cheekbones! When the official Star Wars Twitter account shared a concept photo, sharp-eyed viewers made a connection.

So a Stormtrooper walks into a cantina and the bartender asks: Why the long face?

Yeah, yeah, an old joke, but it really works with the elongated-face Stormtrooper concept art shared by the official Star Wars Twitter account on Monday.

The unused Stormtrooper art is at left, while General Grievous is on the right.

Lucasfilm

The account described the unused armor as having a "haunting, almost alien quality," but fans and Twitter followers spotted a resemblance to another Star Wars character, cyborg commander Grievous.

The aptly named Grievous was a Kaleesh warlord who chose to be rebuilt and turned into a deadly cyborg who was introduced in "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" and then appeared in the 2005 film "Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith." But it's his appearance that struck fans looking at the unused Stormtrooper image, which like Grievous, has a lengthened face, sunken, tilted eyes and an almost Weimaraner-like muzzle.

See our comparison and decide if you agree.

One fan, using the Twitter handle Dust_Particle, thought the Stormtrooper looked like an highly educated Grievous, joking, "General Grievous esq."

The official account seemed to be in agreement, tweeting back, "As in, alien separatist cyborg lawyer?"

To which the fan responded, "He fears no Jedi!... (or court reporter)."

Another fan got on the Grievous train and longed for a return. TheLankySoldier tweeted, "If it has anything to do with General Grievous, please make this a thing. I don't know, bring his dead body to (life) or something."

Which, the official account pointed out, is kind of impossible.
