'Spider-Man: Homecoming' is the wall-crawler we've been waiting for

It's our first good look at the upcoming Spider-Man movie from Marvel Studios and Sony, and boy is it looking good.

Friendly up your neighborhoods and get spectacular, because the first "Spider-Man: Homecoming" trailer is here. And yup, it feels like this is the one we've been waiting for.

Starring Tom Holland in the title role and Michael Keaton as yet another birdman, the Vulture, "Spider-Man: Homecoming" looks to borrow heavily from the Ultimate comic line, much like most movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Unlike the Garfield and Maguire Spider-Men, this one is firmly a part of the MCU, down to Tony Stark appearing in his sardonic best.

Holland got his first spin in the red and blues in "Captain America: Civil War" earlier in 2016, but "Homecoming" is his first standalone (and the first Spidey flick since Andrew Garfield donned the suit in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2").

And yeah, with Marvel Studios and Sony working together for the first time on a Spider-Man movie, this is one to get excited about. If only for the Robert Downey Jr. cameo and the potential for Tony Stark and Aunt May (Marissa Tomei) re-enacting "Only You" (I can dream).

"Spider-Man: Homecoming" opens in theatres on July 7, 2017. Yeah, that feels like a long time to me too.
