Speedera partners with Quova

Speedera Networks, a global content delivery provider, said Monday that it is partnering with Quova, whose technology lets Web sites detect the physical location of visitors. Under the deal, Speedera will resell Quova's GeoPoint service, combined with its Global Traffic Management system, which routes requested content across the Internet from servers best matched to the location to boost the site's speed and performance. Speedera's network connects to more than 1,000 carrier backbones in North America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. Quova's technology pinpoints the location of a Web visitor to the city level, helping Web sites deliver content for marketing purposes or in compliance with local laws. The two companies plan to co-market their services.
