Sony Ericsson ST18i Asuza and CK15i Android phones leaked

Two new Android Gingerbread smart phones from Sony Ericsson have been furtively snapped and leaked onto the Web.

Two new Android Gingerbread smart phones from Sony Ericsson have been furtively snapped and leaked onto the Web -- the ST18i, code-named 'Asuza', and the CK15i.

Both bear Xperia branding. The touchscreen Asuza is thought to be similar to the Xperia Mini, while the CK15i has a physical Qwerty keyboard and is more akin to the Xperia Mini Pro.

While the specifications aren't known in full, it's clear that the ST18i has dual cameras. One will probably have an 8-megapixel sensor if Sony Ericsson's recent efforts, such as the Xperia Arc, are anything to go by. The phone may also use an upgraded ARM Cortex-A8 processor, as featured in the Motorola Milestone XT720, allowing it to run Flash apps.

The exact screen sizes aren't known. There are suggestions that the ST18i's display packs in a resolution of 480x854 pixels, like the Arc, which indicates that it may also have a 4.2-inch touchscreen.

The CK15i may have a 3.3-inch screen with a 240x400-pixel resolution. That may not cut it for some people, but the CK15i will still offer more finger room than the X10 Mini Pro.

Just last week we saw blurred snaps of a rumoured Sony Ericsson Cyber-shot Android phone. The latest pics are of a slightly better quality, but it could be the case that they were captured by the same person who leaked the Cyber-shot images.

The back panel of the Asuza makes it clear that it's a prototype -- it's stamped with the date 28 February. Some are hopeful of a late May launch for at least one of the phones, but, with only two weeks to go, that seems unlikely.
