WorldCom and MFS Communications have completed their $12.6 billion stock-swap merger. Under the WorldCom name, the combined companies will offer local, long distance and international phone service, and Internet services. Each share of MFS will be converted into the right to receive 2.1 shares of WorldCom common stock. Preferred shares of MFS will be converted into preferred shares of WorldCom, as reported by Reuters.
