Short Take: Tivoli updates Service Desk

Tivoli Systems today said it will soon release a new version of Tivoli Service Desk, a suite of tools that allows help desk workers to better track requests as well as get information on users' computer configurations. The new 6.0 version, shipping this third quarter, includes a module that allows the help desk to build and track service-level agreements. No pricing has been announced. Tivoli also signed up 31 new partners who have integrated their products with Tivoli's. Products include Cisco's CiscoWorks 2000.
