Software maker Spyglass said today that TiVo has licensed its Spyglass Device Mosaic 4.0 browser to use in a forthcoming version of the TV recording system. Spyglass director of interactive TV Rick Tingstrom said Spyglass' browser will allow TiVo users to view HTML content sent over the airwaves by broadcasters or their partners. As part of the deal, Spyglass will port its software to the Linux operating system used by TiVo.
