The Supreme Court refused to review an appellate court's decision in favor of Nintendo of America and its parent, Nintendo, in a major patent infringement suit brought by Alpex Computer. A Federal appeals court had ruled that Nintendo had not infringed a patent owned by Alpex, erasing a jury verdict of more than $253 million in damages.
