Short Take: Software.net shares jump after IPO

Shares of Internet software store Software.net closed at 13.25, up 47 percent from an initial price of $9 a share on the company's first day of public trading. The shares opened at 12.875 and traded as high as 13.875, and the IPO raised $45 million for the company. Deutsche Morgan Grenfellwas lead manager for the offering. In December, Software.net was spun off from e-commerce services firm Cybersource.
