Short Take: Schwab takes issue with NYSE fee increase for quotes

Charles Schwab complained to Congress and the SEC that it is being disproportionately hit by a doubling of fees for real-time stock quotes, according to Bloomberg. Schwab said it has had to delay some quotes as a result of the rate hike, instituted last October by a NYSE-administered group, and asked Congress to reduce the fees to more accurately reflect the cost of providing the quotes.
