PSINet, one of the largest global independent Internet Providers, continued its push to dominate Japan's Internet service market by acquiring Tokyo Internet. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The acquisition positions PSINet as the second largest ISP in Japan. The acquisition is estimated to added over $35 million in revenues for PSINet. As previously announced, PSINet has recently acquired other Japanese ISPs, including Rimnet and TWICS.
