Short Take: Penguin Computing offers slim Linux servers

Penguin Computing has begun selling a rack-mountable, pizza box-thin Linux server for customers like Internet service providers who need to stack up lots of servers. A basic model costs $1,495, but more expensive ones can hold up to three network adapters, 768MB of memory, a floppy disk, CD-ROM drive, and a 20GB hard disk. The 1.75-inch-tall systems come with version 6 of Red Hat's Linux.
