Short Take: Penguin Computing expands

San Francisco-based Linux computer maker Penguin Computing has opened an office in Atlanta, the company said. The company also hired Howard Johnson, formerly of American Megatrends, Tyan Computer and Mylex, to lead East Coast sales from the new office. The office will focus on customers in New York, Washington, D.C., Boston, Chicago and Atlanta.
