Nvidia's Riva 128ZX, the next-generation graphics processor that Nvidia claims will be one of the fastest 3D chips for PCs, will be available in the second quarter for $32 in quantity. Graphics manufacturers are expected to come out with a slew of low-cost, higher performance chips in the next few quarters as a result of Intel's recent entry into the market. Nvidia states that the new chip exceeds the performance of the Intel740 on certain benchmarks. Diamond Multimedia, Dell, and Gateway all bundle Nvidia chips into select products.
