Short Take: Novell breaks ground on new facility

Networking software maker Novell said it broke ground on a new, 388,000-square-foot office building that will accommodate about 1,000 employees when it is completed by January of 2000. Joined by Lewis Billings and Joe Nelson, mayors of Orem, Utah, and Provo, Utah, respectively, Novell chairman and chief executive Eric Schmidt presided over the celebration. Novell said the new building will nearly double the size of its Provo headquarters.
