Netscape and Yahoo have renegotiated some terms of a comarketing agreement that calls for Yahoo to manage the Netscape Guide by Yahoo on Netscape's Web site. Yahoo has cut the first-year payments to Netscape to $4.7 million from $10 million, according to a federal regulatory filing. However, it adds: "Actual payments may be higher and will relate directly to the overall revenue recognized from the guide." The relationship has since been expanded to make Yahoo a "premier provider" of international search guide services for Netscape, requiring a $2.9 million cash payment, Netscape noted.
