Microsoft and Cisco Systems announced a new program that
melds the networking firm's hardware to the software giant's operating
systems in hopes of tying mainframe applications to PC layouts. The two
firms, taking the latest steps in their partnership, will perform
compatibility and performance testing, and tie their support organizations
together to support Cisco's routers and Microsoft's SNA Server.
