Short Take: Intel cuts prices of switches, hubs

Intel has cut the prices of its Express switches and hubs. The 16-port Express 410T Standalone Switch was cut 8 percent, from $1,199 to $1,099. The price of the 16-port 330T Stackable Hub was slashed 22 percent, from $1,159 to $899. Intel also released a new 460T switch. Optional fiber and gigabit Ethernet modules will be made available in 2000. The new 460T costs $1,795 for the 16-port version, and $2,099 for the 24-port version.
