Harbinger, a supplier of e-commerce software, has acquired EDI Works, a provider of e-commerce outsourcing services. The owners of EDI Works received 129,665 shares of Harbinger stock for all of the outstanding equity in EDI Works. The transaction will be accounted for under the pooling of interests method of accounting, and the company expects to incur transaction-related charges totaling between $500,000 and $750,000 during the first quarter of 1998.
