Fujitsu will raise its hard drive production by 50 percent to 18 million units over the current fiscal year. The Japanese company hopes to boost its share of the global market to 15 percent, up from about 10 percent, Reuters reported. Fujitsu will about 40 billion yen in new production lines at two domestic plants as well as plants in Thailand and Philippines, according to industry sources quoted by the wire service.
