Short Take: FCC to review digital TV carriage on cable

The Federal Communications Commission will take up digital television at its Jan. 11 meeting, it said Thursday, including whether cable systems have to carry digital broadcast stations in addition to the broadcasters' analog signals. Not on the commission's agenda is a review of the ownership limit on spectrum imposed on wireless providers, an action that had been promised by the FCC by the end of 2000.
