Short Take: Dell adds to graphics card choices

Dell on Tuesday added four new graphics options to Precision Workstations: S3's 64MB Fire GL2 graphics card, Nvidia's 64MB Quadro2 Pro and 16MB TNT2 Pro adapters, and the Matrox Millennium 450. The Matrox card supports multiple monitors. A Precision Workstation 420--with a 1-GHz Pentium III processor, 256MB of Rambus memory, a 9GB SCSI hard drive, a 48 CD-ROM drive and Windows 2000--will sell for $2,613 with the Matrox card. The Quadro2 would add $460 to the price and the Fire GL2 $660.
