Short Take: CyberCash, Carnegie Mellon sign pact

CyberCash (CYCH) has signed an agreement with Carnegie Mellon University to use the university's NetBill technology in CyberCoin, the company's offering for Internet payments under $10. CyberCash gets worldwide rights to commercially use and sublicense NetBill, which enables an Internet billing system that will upgrade CyberCash's microtransaction payments. The company also will cooperate with the university's research on network-based Internet payment systems.
