Short Take: Best Buy pulls Pentium 4 computers from shelves

Best Buy has taken certain Pentium 4 computers made by Hewlett-Packard off its shelves temporarily because of a previously reported bug. The bug, which affects the computer's basic input-output system (BIOS), was discovered just before the release of the chips earlier this month. Most companies fixed it, but some HP models containing the bug slipped out. Although Best Buy has taken some Pentium 4 computers off the shelves, the store continues to sell other Pentium 4 computers through its in-store kiosks.
