Short Take: AOL may charge for some services

America Online may charge extra for some services in an attempt to raise revenue in the wake of its new flat-rate pricing, according to a Bloomberg report. AOL did not specify the services for which it may start charging. The company also may sell packages of popular information to non-AOL subscribers; still another idea under consideration is to institute tiered pricing so that users could subscribe to particular parts of AOL.
