Just one look at the stylus in Samsung's Save the Date invite we received today will tell you all you need to know: it's time for the U.S. to get the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (II) "phablet."
That's my educated guess, anyway, considering that theis out in the world, and since Samsung will want to put great marketing and sales efforts behind their latest phone in a category they're aggressively pioneering.
The Note 2 smartphone has a 5.5-inch screen,, an 8-megapixel camera, and will be the first U.S. phone to pair a quad-core processor (Samsung's Exynos brand) with 4G LTE.
by mid-November, starting with U.S. Cellular in late October for $299.99. Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon will also sell the extra-large smartphone, but have not yet released pricing and availability.
You'd better believe that CNET will be in New York in October covering the event, and we'll update you with more pricing details when we know them.
