Responsys, an interactive marketing technology company, says it has acquired NetAcumen, a Burlingame, Calif.-based Web site analysis firm. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Responsys said it will use NetAcumen's technology to help businesses personalize customer-profile data. The company said the integration of NetAcumen's technology with its services will allow businesses to use an automated system to personalize Web sites and e-mails with information culled from customer data.
Palo Alto, Calif.-based Responsys, whose clients include BMW and Lands' End, runs subscription-based interactive marketing software that lets Internet operations manage targeted promotional campaigns. Last year, Responsys$20 million in funding led by Sigma Partners.
