Radnet connects workers on the move

Radnet rolls out WebShare Mobile, the latest addition to its Web-based application package.

Radnet today rolled out the latest addition to its Web-based application package.

WebShare Mobile 2.1, priced at $3,995 for an unlimited user license, enables users to replicate their Web-based collaborative applications from their network to their personal laptops. Users can then work on the replicated application offline.

The product works with WebShare, the company's groupware package which competes with Domino and Microsoft Exchange. WebShare offers a similar array of Web conferencing, publishing, database, and workflow tools.

Unlike static Web-page caching or update products, WebShare Mobile delivers interactive offline access to the mobile worker, like salespeople, onsite consultants, and field service technicians, according to the company.

"This works to include those workers that aren't on the network all the time," said Reed Sturtevant, Radnet's chief technology officer.

WebShare Mobile is part of Radnet's WebShare 2.1 package, which also includes updated versions of WebShare Server and WebShare Designer.
